These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of mexicotravelexplorer.com (the “Site”), operated by Christian Uriel Vázquez Gómez, an individual based in Mexico City, Mexico, doing business as Mexico Travel Explorer (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
What Mexico Travel Explorer Is
The Site is a curated, editorial guide to Mexico City — restaurants, cafés, neighborhoods, and experiences — along with an email newsletter and a companion mobile app promoted (but not governed by these Terms; the app has its own terms). The Site doesn’t process payments, take reservations, or require an account to use.
Using the Site
You’re welcome to browse, search, and share the Site for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Scrape, systematically copy, or republish the Site’s content, photos, or listings without our permission
- Use the Site in a way that could damage, disable, or overburden it, or interfere with anyone else’s use of it
- Attempt to bypass any security or access-control measures on the Site
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
Content Accuracy
We curate and try to keep listings, hours, prices, and other details accurate, but businesses change without notice — hours, menus, prices, and even whether a place is still open can be out of date by the time you visit. Always confirm important details directly with the business before you go. We’re not responsible for losses that come from relying on information found here.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Site links out to third-party businesses, booking platforms, and social media accounts we don’t own or control. We’re not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of those third parties, and linking to them isn’t an endorsement of everything they do. Any interaction you have with a third party (a reservation, a purchase, an account you create with them) is between you and that third party.
Our Content
The Site’s original text, design, and curation are owned by us. Photos are either licensed stock images, sourced live from the Google Places API under Google’s terms (and never stored beyond what’s needed to display them — see our Privacy Policy), or otherwise credited. You may share links to the Site and its pages freely; you may not republish, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Site’s content without our permission.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter or Trip Starter Guide, that’s governed by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how to unsubscribe.
No Warranty
The Site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including losses related to a business visit, reservation, or purchase made based on information found here.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Site changes. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in the competent courts of Mexico City, Mexico.
