Best For
Art, Architecture

Rising above Plaza Carso in a striking silver-clad form, Museo Soumaya draws you in as much for its architecture as for the art inside. Across six levels, you can explore works spanning centuries of European and Mexican art, from Old Masters and New Spanish painting to Impressionism and the Mexican avant-garde. If you’re drawn to sculpture, the museum is especially notable for its extensive collection of works by Auguste Rodin, displayed beneath the sweeping curves of its upper gallery. After exploring the collection, step back into the modern Plaza Carso district, where Museo Jumex, restaurants, shops, and contemporary architecture are all within an easy walk.
