Behind its unmistakable cobalt-blue walls in Coyoacán, the Frida Kahlo Museum preserves the intimate world of one of Mexico’s most influential artists. Known as Casa Azul, the house was Kahlo’s childhood home and later the residence she shared with Diego Rivera, remaining closely connected to her life until her death in 1954. Its furnished rooms, personal belongings, paintings, photographs, and traditional Mexican artwork offer a revealing portrait of her creative and private life. After exploring the house and its leafy courtyard garden continue into Coyoacán’s historic center for a leisurely stroll through Jardín Hidalgo and Jardín Centenario and the surrounding streets.
